About this project:
With the help of nationwide sponsors, we will travel across
Canada-from St. John's to our home in Victoria-doing service projects
in each community along the way. Our road trip will make sandwiches
for the poor, while involving local members of the community in
service to help inspire their neighbours. In this way, we will create
a lasting solution poverty in Canada. We will make leaflets describing
different ways in which each community can alleviate poverty and hand
them out at each of our stops. In order to get peoplee both active and
interested, we will make presentations about our experiences and how
indivfiduals can make a difference. Our group will also have a website
where people can learn more about our project and how to join us, in
addition to sharing their own thoughts. Community members will also be
able to post information about what else they are doing to help. In
doing this, we will spread awareness about the increasingly severe
problem of poverty in Canada and a
