We are young people around the world working together for change.
Social Justice and Human Rights for All
I did a community study on the issues of human rights locally and
globally and an internet search for information on the history of
Northern Ireland. I also decided to study the affects of violence and
economic distress on youth. Afterward, I interviewed young people in
the school/neighborhood community about their take on the issue of
human rights abuses and their ideas about causes. I got an amazing
opportunity to interview Mairead Corrigan Maguire, 1976 Nobel Peace
Laureate regarding the troubles in Northern Ireland and the tie to
human rights as well as modern day human rights issues.
