About this project:

The student affiliated group, Project Peace, is organizing a Peace Circle for the University of Colorado. It will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2008 from 11 am until 4 pm at the University Memorial Center. There will be ten different circles with 15 participants who will be a combination of CU students and outside community members who enhance diversity. Each circle will be lead by a team of one trained adult and one trained student facilitator. The facilitator staff includes people such as Oscar Reed, a four time Super Bowl player. Project Peace hopes to create a lasting impact on the CU campus by implementing Peace Circles into the student residential live. Ideally we are envisioning a program in which each RA is trained as a Peace Circle facilitator and when students first arrive at the university they participate in a Peace Circle with students in their hall to immediately work at forming a culture of understanding. The importance of Peace Circles simply cannot be underestimate
