Global Youth Service Day
MN FCCLA is a Lead State Agency for Global Youth Service Day. WIth 130 schools involved with FCCLA chapters, we will impact many organizations to be involved in service-learning projects. Through family and consumer science curriculum, we will embed peer teaching, service and project based learning throught the FCCLA state and national programs. These will include STOP the Violence, Student Body, Financial Fitness, Career Connections, and STAR Events (Student Taking Actionwith Recognition). A large effort will be to raise funds and awareness of poverty through a Feed the Children outreach program. We will plan and host a state conference in April 2009.
