The New GCA Site Is Here
With Networking For GCA Members
Welcome to the new Global Call to Action website, full of features that will help us build the Global Call to Action into a historic international movement. PeaceJam has constructed the site to help GCA members learn from each other and from the Nobel Laureates. It’s an exciting new way for all of us to stay in touch and be part of the GCA community.
Here are some of the new features we hope you’ll use and enjoy:
Project Pages
Every registered GCA project will get its own project area. In the project area you will be able to tell the entire GCA community about the work you are doing. You’ll be able to post photos and create a project blog. Project leaders are in charge of project areas. (If you already have a registered project, we will contact you about getting your own project area.)
Projects Map
This feature will let you see how our movement is growing around the world. Every GCA project will be represented on the map. You can search for projects in your area or find out what GCA members are doing in other countries. You can also search for projects by name or by GCA issue.
Messaging
Each GCA project member can now trade messages with other GCA members around the world. We will also use messaging to let everyone in the GCA community know about important news and events. To find out how to set up this feature, talk to your project leader.
GCA News
Now you can look here to find out the latest developments in our GCA community. What are the latest events planned by PeaceJam? What are the GCA Nobel laureates up to? What’s going on in the world that will impact on our 10 core problems? All that and more will be reported in our GCA News.
Information and Resources
Our Nobel laureate pages and issues pages contain loads of information that you will find useful and inspirational. every one of the Nobel laureates who issued the Call to Action has his or her own page with a biography and a short video. Each one of the 10 GCA issues is featured on a page with a description of the problem and links to other resources you can use.
Our Community
Only GCA members can use the interactive features of this site. If you’re already part of a GCA project, talk to your project leader about setting up your account. If you’re not a member, isn’t it time you were? Join the Global Call to Action and become part of our growing community of activists.
Take some time and explore our new online home. We hope you enjoy it and use it to build your projects and further the work that we all know is so important.
Peace,
