What We Are Looking For
The Global Call to Action and PeaceJam are looking for videos and stories that show the creativity, energy and dedication of the GCA members.
Winning entries will:
• Be about a registered GCA project that meets the Global Call to Action guidelines.
• Be about a project that shows thoughtful planning, dedication and hard work.
• Be about a project that has achieved all or most of its goals.
We want your video or story to really give us a sense of you and your group members. We want to learn:
• Who are you and your team members? Were you friends before or did you meet while creating your project?
• What made you get involved with the GCA?
• Why do you feel strongly about the issue you have taken up?
• How you felt about working on your project. When was it fun and when was it difficult?
• What did you learn about changing the world?
• How did working on the project change you?
Finally, we will judge the style and skill of your entry.
• How creative is your video or story?
• Does your entry capture the spirit of the Global Call to Action?
• Does your entry have a personal touch? Does it give us a good sense of who you are?
• Will your video or story inspire other young people to get involved?
All entries are due by March 1, 2009. The prize-winning entries will be announced in the spring of 2009.
We know you have an exciting story to tell, one that will make other young people eager to answer the Call to Action and start their own projects. Let the world hear about your terrific work. We can’t wait to see what you can come up with.
